Whiskeytown Lake is located approximately 10 miles north of
Redding at an elevation of 1,210 feet. The lake has 36 miles of
coniferous shoreline and 3,250 surface acres of water. There are
three campgrounds located around the lake accommodating tent,
RV, (to 36 feet) and group camping. All boating is allowed as
well as skiing and jet-skis with improved launch facilities and
boat rentals available. Whiskeytown is an excellent fishing lake
holding both a variety and quality fish, the most popular being
