The Solar Lunar calendar is a prediction of active periods for wildlife based on Solar and Lunar data (sun and moon). The Calendar above is adjusted to provide accurate information for both northern and southern California. Typically, Major periods last 1.5 to 2 hours, but can last over 3 hours. Minor periods last 45 minutes to 1.5 hours.  Fishing during these time periods give the angler an enhanced opportunity to land more fish.
