Lake Oroville is located approximately 75 miles northeast of Sacramento on the famous Feather River at an elevation of 950 feet. Lake Oroville has 15,500 surface acres and 169 miles of oak and chaparral covered shoreline. There are many camping facilities from improved with full hookups to boat-in located at the lake accommodating tents, RV's, or groups camping. All boating is permitted as well as overnight boating, water-skiing, jet-skis, and swimming. For the angler Oroville offers a wide variety of fishing including Coho, trout, bass, bluegill, crappie, and catfish. - Large population of Spotted Bass, most bass caught in Oroville are spotted bass.
