May 9, 2008. Keith Kerrigan of Sierra Anglers Sport Fishing (530) 414-1374 reported landing three big mackinaws at 11, 14.5 and 15-pounds within the past week. He releases all of the larger macks and encourages others to do so as well. He has been using the 7.5-inch AC Plug in original trout top lined on the surface of the lake. He said that the larger macks are cruising throughout the lake with a concentration of smaller fish near the bottom at China Cove. Kokanee are starting to hit Sierra Anglers Spinners or bugs at depths from 30 to 50 feet. The lake is low, but it is expected to fill from the runoff at this high elevation.
